Ok....if there is a clicking sound that usually means the hard drive is failing...if this is the case you need to find a data recovery expert....now the casing and hard drive are separate pieces of hardware so if there is a problem with accessing the data but no audible clicking my advice is to head to your nearest computer shop (an independant and helpful one if possible) and ask them to try your hard drive in a new casing....if that works you only need to pay for the new casing.....there is a piece of software that can fix bad sectors of your hard drive without loss of data but it does require the PC to be able to access the disk
