Dse q-1559 Digital Multimeter
The "dse q-1559 Digital Multimeter" was supposed to sound an audible tone when the rotary switch was set to the 200 ohm scale and the resistance was less than approximately 150 ohm. The meter now sounds an audible tone on every position on the rotary dial except the amp scale, with or without the test leads and on both the AC or DC switch position. Any assistance or thoughts on the matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Sincerely Graham Kavanagh, Queensland, Australia. Email: [email protected]

Hi ,my q1559 is doing exactly the same ,are you using a rechargeable battery that is pretty old ? My point is I put a new battery in and it disappeared . I don't know if this is your problem but try cleaning the test meter probes connector, because the audible warning is telling you have a test lead connected to amps post whilst the switch is not turned onto measure amps..I used a cottonbud it fits perfect soaked in contact cleaner.
SO sorry that didnt fix the problem I was a bit hasty when doing the repair but the problem does lie around the test lead sockets (amps) so still going on it ,
