Dualit 4-slot toaster - is this how it's supposed to work?
I've got a dualit 2x2 toaster, with two switches on the side -- turn one on to get the sandwich slots going, turn the other on to get the toaster slots going -- but if both are off, the middle element keeps going to provide the interesting possibility of two one-sided toasts! Have I got the wrong central element, or is there a fault with the toaster wiring OR is this the way it's supposed to be?

Your toaster is working correctly if both are off you are in BAGEL/BUN mode ( did i spell that wrong ? ) in that mode it will only toast the cut side .... I have a dualit 4 slice toaster and it has just stopped working. All wires seam to firmly attached. Would it still toast if one of the elements have gone? Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
