Dvd burner won't burn!
I was burning a movie the other day and i noticed that it was taking realy long to burn so stupid me switched off my external lite-on dvd burner and switched it back on since then my burner won't burn dvd's and when i plug out and in the usb it tells me that there is a malfunction with the external device.The dvd burner will play cd's and dvd's but it won't burn!

Do you still have the software for your external dvd...if so...uninstall it....now start all over like it is brand new...reinstall and reconnect the dvd....this shoud do the trick...
FYI
all dvd movie take 2-3 hrs to burn (some even 4 hrs..depends on the lenght)...and for the future never just turn off any data transfering devices....not even your pc when windows is updating....
