Try unplugging it for 10 minutes. While unplugged, press and hold the power button for 10 full seconds. Then release it, wait a couple minutes and plug back in. If this is still acting the same, then check to make sure none of the buttons are sticking down. If so, remove and clean them with rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab. If that doesn't help, than you may need a firmware upgrade for this set. Or a new control board. Testing will have to be done to confirm.
didn't help none...anyway look had a movie in the dvd player and it stopped working on me, ejected the movie but then never changed the tv from the dvd mode with the remote cause we were packing and moved...the tv only was placed in my truck and driven less than a mile away and moved into our home and when i plugged it up it is still in the dvd mode, I lost the remote somewhere as I cannot find it and now I cannot get anything to respond....the buttons are just fine and not stuck...so do i need to get a remote or what do I do now?didn't help none...anyway look had a movie in the dvd player and it stopped working on me, ejected the movie but then never changed the tv from the dvd mode with the remote cause we were packing and moved...the tv only was placed in my truck and driven less than a mile away and moved into our home and when i plugged it up it is still in the dvd mode, I lost the remote somewhere as I cannot find it and now I cannot get anything to respond....the buttons are just fine and not stuck...so do i need to get a remote or what do I do now?
Sometimes unplugging it for 15 seconds, and plugging back in works, or unpluging then while unplugged, press and hold power button for 5 full seconds, and plug back in will reset it.
