DVD Player keeps reading no disk even though there is inserted in the slot
Inserted disk gives the player that there is not a disk in the chamber so it reads "no disk". What do you think the problem can be?

Try cleaning the lens, first.
If you keep getting a reading like no disk you might have to use different brand disks!
For example I used memerex and aptivia and it kept saying no disk when I tried other brands like sony or hp disks they worked and make sure your using minus cd disk!
Well I had the exact same problem so I decided to remove the entire back off of my Venturer PVS1977G. After removing the back and inspecting the parts, I didn't find anything obviously wrong or or anything out of place I re-assembled it and it read the dvd's!
I have no idea why this worked but it did....I'm happy.
