DVD recorder, model no. B2737. It will not format DVD-R or RW discs and shows an error message 'E4 54037380'. I have tried using a lens cleaning disc, without success. Can you advise me as to ehat else I can do to solve this problem?

Check the speed of the disc vs the speed that the recorder can use. That is mostly the problem.
