Check the Video settings, ensure that resolution on Sat box settings is the maximum supported by your TV. If there is frequency setting, ensure it is set up the same as TV. Check also PAL-Secam settings, depending on your zone.
Also unplug both units, tv and sat box and connect back the power cords with HDMI already connected, this should help the TV and box detecting HDMI connection.

Theres could be a problem on the cable you are using. maybe you can try using a different hdmi cable for that.
