Dyson cordless brushbar seems to work when it's upside down but turns off as it is rotated sideways
I've got most of it apart but the rotating surfaces have beaten me. I assume the contact surfaces are dirty. I've checked it with a circuit tester and the fault is definitely where it rotates.

I think you have a motor that worn out.
Seek help from a local vacuum cleaner repair shop, they will not charge to just look at the problem.
