EA650 power button stuck in position on "I"
Hello, I have just received this PSU and I wanted to test it before connecting to the MB. I plugged it to power and press power button to "I" position. I heard a noise, like a "clac" but it does that sometimes when you connect electrical HW to the wall, so nothing extraordinary ( no burn smell anyway). Then the power button would not move back to power off position "O". It is like if the button was constantly attracted back to position "I". Just in case I checked with a multimeter (http://pcsupport.about.com/od/toolsofthetrade/ht/power-supply-test-multimeter.htm) and it works fine it seems, I tested the 24-pins the 8-pins and some molex connectors and everything is fine ( apart maybe the blue connector on 24-pins that is at -11.91v instead of -12V, but since others are at 12.10v, I guess it is fine). So I connected the psu to the motherboard without CPU and and MB doesn't beep or anything... I start to think that it is the motherboard that is dead ( I just received it too, i 'm building a new computer). I have never seen that a PSU staying stuck on "I" before, it looks if it is a security. Does anyone know anything about this ? Thanks in advance for your comment!
