eclipse 1st gen dsm
I bought this car i replaced the radiator had crack by outlet hose filled system up with 1 3.75 gallon 50/50 premix solution of antifreeze since then i have been having issues with keeping the overflow bottle full maybe i am overfilling it i went over the lines it has marked but it seems to go pretty low not out but realy low some one has told me i did not fill it up enough with antifreeze that it takes about 6 gallons but not sure it has not overheated for me yet but i am afraid to drive it daily to farther places i only drive it about ten minutes to work and ten back no other place now i recently got switched locations and do not drive it the 30 min. their and 30 back what should i do no leaks no burn off noticable on engine and ground is dry i only had 1 incident in wich it sounded as if my belts was loose when you get that luod screech sound lasted about 1 to 2 minutes and have not heard it like that since could it be my water pump going out or is it just i did not fill system up enough

If it's not over heating or at least leaking coolant in any way in 10 min of driving, then the water pump is most likely not the problem. It can't hurt to overfill coolant... the rest of the overfill will just leak out to the ground from an overflow tube.
When you say gallons... I hope you mean quarts. :)
No car to my knowledge takes 6 gallons.. that sounds like a train engine or something lol. Generally it's measured in quarts.. like smaller engines 6, and bigger engines are around 9.
I have an eagle talon which is an identical car to the laser... I think it's about 6-7 quarts if I remember right.
The sqeaky belt is most likely just a loose belt. I believe that getting any oil on the belt may cause squeaking for a short time.
