I have a problem with driving about ten minutes and my coolant overflow bottle empties to almost nothing i did replace the radiator on it but thats all i dont see any visible leaks on the ground or in the engine help please .now i did encounter about two weeks ago it was squealing like a belt was loose but that stopped could this loose belt been my water pump or is this some other problem the car is a 1993 plymouth laser and i recently bought it

I had the same problem with my 90 eclipse. i finally discovered it was a blown head gasket. does your exhaust smoke white? if so thats a good indicator. here is a way to test the gasket. the thread about the 120psi shop air is the way i diagnosed mine

ok but i would not go any longer than you have to without changing the thermostat, cuz it can stick completely and leave you stranded or fry your engine, and the idling after you turn the key off is ususlly due to your timing being set too much in advance, check your timing with a light, it should tell you on the sticker under your hood what your timing is supposed to be set at, or have a shop do it it shouldnt be too much at all $
