Electronic ignition will improve the quality of the ignition system and is worth the investment it raises the spark voltage from around 16.000 volts to close to 60.000 volts which allows you to open up the plug gap from .025" to around .050" hence a better spark front to ignite the mixture especially at high rpms next there are no points to foul and wear and not condenser to fail there is no point bounce at high rpms causing problems at high rpms If you invest in a good quality unit that has the distributor as part of the system then yo eliminate a worn distributor as well some even include an electronic advance system in the unit that automatically adjusts the ignition timing to suit the engine rpms and the vacuum setting for that advance if the engine is sad then you have to weigh up the cost as a good system is not cheap

it raises the spark voltage from around 16.000 volts to close to 60.000 volts which allows you to open up the plug gap from .025" to around .050" hence a better spark front to ignite the mixture especially at high rpms
next there are no points to foul and wear and not condenser to fail
there is no point bounce at high rpms causing problems at high rpms
If you invest in a good quality unit that has the distributor as part of the system then yo eliminate a worn distributor as well
some even include an electronic advance system in the unit that automatically adjusts the ignition timing to suit the engine rpms and the vacuum setting for that advance
if the engine is sad then you have to weigh up the cost as a good system is not cheap
