Embroidery Hoop I have a problem with the standard embroidery hoop that comes with the Viking 1. The screw to the hoop has stripped out, and I can't tighten the hoop any more. Where can I go to get a new screw - or a hoop for that matter!
Hope you haven't thrown the hoop away after all these years. I'm sure it's the plastice that's stripped - not the metal screw. Put some glue into the hole (almost any kind of glue), wait a few hours, screw the thread in, and leave it overnight. That shoud reform the threads in the plastic.
Any authorized Husqvarna Viking dealer will be able to get the hoop for you. Replacing the screw is much more economical and that same dealer will have access to the part number so that they can order it for you. This will take longer but will cost about 1/10 as much. To find your nearest dealer, or one a little farther away, check the dealer locator at: http://webservices.us.vsmgroup.com/DealerLocator.aspx?Brand=Viking
