Emerson Model MW8627W does not heat after changing fuse!
This Sunday, I heard a "pop" from my microwave. I knew instinctively that it was the fuse. The bad fuse was indeed burnt out (brown burn spots on it). So I changed out the bad fuse and replaced it with the correct fuse. The microwave runs fine, but it does not heat anything up. What do you think happened? Nothing looked frayed inside nor there was any burning smells emitting from the oven when I heard the "pop" sound. HELP! I have a goldstar microwave that is set over my stove. I heard a pop when I turned on the microwave so I then turned it off. I looked inside to make sure nothing was wrong. I then truned the microwave back on. The lights turn on the table inside turns but it is not heating anything up. I was thinking it was a fuse, but I am not sure where the fuse is located. Will I have to take the whole microwave down to replace it? Can you help me?
