This heater was run of a 20lb tank most of last winter, the regulator and lines are new, last winter... I ran the tank out the other night and it was working fine on all 3 settings but when I switched over to a 100lb tank the heater will only run on the minimum setting (and the cermic tile glows orange with a tint of blue... it should be completely orange) when it is switched over to medium it tries to light but flickers constantly (cermic tiles only flicker blue and will not completley ignite) and the pilot light gets much smaller... on the high setting it barely flickers and none of the ceramic tiles glow. On the the medium and high settings the smell of propane (mercaptan) becomes more evident. I have a carbon monoxide detector which has not gone off... in the same room and there is adequate ventilation as the windows are open. Any suggestions?
