Encore Wireless Router Wireless connection problem
Good day! I've bought an Encore wireless Router (ENHWI-G2) last week and managed to connect it to my Desktop.. however my Laptop (Acer Aspire 5610-2089) can't connect with it. although it can detect my router, it cant connect even try to diagnose the problem. Any help will be appreciated!

Do you have a key for the wireless? Double and triple check that your typing it correctly and that you have the correct authentication type eg - WEP, WPA, WPA2 etc.
It certainly sounds like it's your laptop related. Do you have Norton Internet Security or Zonealarm or anything like that installed? I've seen such firewall programs become over zealous and stop wireless working before.
You need to have a cable connection from the laptop to the router first then go to the router setting by typing something like 192.x.x.x which differs from router to router.This should be available in the manual or in many cases are printed underneath the router.Once you get to the set up page for the router then you can set up the encryption type and create a key which will be needed by the laptop to connect to the network.Hope this helps.
