Engine light is on. had tested said maps sensor may be bad but the tester guy said its most likely the maps hoses have dry rotted and are loosing vacuum. Where are these hoses located and how can I change them out

Under the hood, you will see a few different small black hoses running to various things.
Just check them all out.
Indeed that rot /vacuum loss is a common issue.
