Engines need two things - spark, and gas. If it started to turn over and now wont start, it's very likely carb related. To confirm, spray some starter fluid into to air intake and pull the cord. If you can't get at the intake, pull the spark plug and give a spray, then quickly replace and pull. Either way, if you get a short blast of power, even for a second, you know it's not the spark. Get ready to work on that carburetor.
Press the primer 5 or 6 times full choke and make sure idle lever is up a little when it starts take choke off one notch at a time then rev engine slowly
