Equalizer doesn't turn on
I hooked the equalizer up to the battery and grounded it but do I need to hook up the remote to the head unit? I thought since it's hooked up to the battery it would always be one and I checked the cable hooked up to the battery and it has power going all the way through it.

Hookup the remote wire of your EQ to that of the HU or just simply connect it to the positive line but it would make your EQ powered ON all the time. That remote wire of your EQ is to get a trigger signal from the HU so that it will turn the EQ "on".
