Hi just read your posting. From your information you supplied you have checked the pressure switch tube .Did you remove the hose from the motor controller and blow down it to see if it was blocked. If you did not do this please do it now but make sure the machine is empty of water. After you have blown down the tube put it back on the controller with the clip attached. Now how did you check the bowl is engaging to the clutch properly? Did you lift the bowl to see if it turned freely and then released it to see if it it engaged to the clutch? If you have done all this and it still comes up with error code 40 then it is your controller that is faulty.Hope this information helps and please reply for further help and I can help you rectify this problem.

I am getting error 40. I pulled the pressure hose off both sides and it is clear, used a hand pump to make sure.. :) One side has the black 'insert' and the other goes into the controller board. I notice there is a wire inside the clear tube, is the smaller wire supposed to be in there?? I took the tub out and checked the white 'clutch' and it appears to slide up the splines to the top when the basked is in.. It doesn't seem to go up and down freely.. Is it supposed to?
