Error code 6-1 on Whirlpool dishwasher GU3600XTVQ3 even after replacing faulty diverter motor. My dishwasher was ending each attempt at a wash cycle after a few seconds and flashing error code 6-1. I opened the control panel and ohmed out each test specified in the repair manual. It passed all except the diverter motor circuit which tested as open (no conductivity). I followed the procedure for removing the sump to access the diverter motor. I removed and disassembled the gear housing and found water infiltration and corrosion of electrical connectors. I ordered a new motor and replaced the old one (after verifying good conductivity over both wire pairs between the new diverter motor and control panel. I did not use the wiring harnass that came with the part, as I did not see a place for it. Even after checking and all wiring connectors in the ensire unit, I am still having the original problem. I would appreciate any suggestion of what to check or try next!
