error codes
HELP!!!! My (X reg LWB 3.2 did) shogun has been stuck in the garage for weeks now as NO ONE can figure out what is wrong with it. The ABS light came on several weeks ago (MOT has now run out so we are stuck with no car) and the local garage managed to get some error codes off the computer, as follows: 12, 23, 24, 32, 41, 42, 43, 44, 52. Sounds like the lottery numbers!! Even tho we noe have the codes it seems still no one knows what part it needs - HELP!! Does anyone have any ideas or has has a similar problem?

First of all, lets forget the ABS light for now. I take it the car doesn't even start and/or run correct?
Second, has anyone taken the connector off at the ECU located normally on the passenger side behind or above the kick panel by passengers right foot. That would be a good place to start.Remove the connector and clean it and all the contacts well with electrical cleaner, or tuner cleaner. Sometimes just removing it and re-installing it will help the connection. If there is any corrosion etc in there it can cause nightmares. Next take a real close look at all your ground straps that run from body to engine, frame to body etc., and make sure they are good. Also, check that battery is fully charged and in good shape, and all connections to it are good. Let me know any other details you can about whether it will start at all etc.
Have you tried registering on the Mitsubishi forum and posting your question, to see if any one there has run into same problem in past.?
It's free.
Yes I can imagine. Although it could be the ECU itself, 100% confirmation would be nice. Have you by any chance inquired as to the price for one with same part number from any local auto recyclers? (wrecking yards) You may find out, $20 or $30 may confirm suspicions in that area. I was quoted approx $800 for body control module on my Caravan recently, and got a good one from wreckers for $75. Turned out it wasn't the problem, but I also know I have a spare one now that is good if needed in the future, as they are a somewhat common problem in my vehicle.
