Error Msg. "755" on Monarch 9830
Error message on our Monarch 9830 printer. 755 indicates print head open ( I think ). Print head is VERY not open. Have switched on and off. Installed new roll of ribbon and problems started afterwards. No problems before.

I know that this is a bit dated, but there could be damage to the sensor that determines whether or not the ph is open. If that is the case, sending it in to the printer's repair depot will be the only thing to fix it.

If you look carefully there si a small magnet that touches another while when the printhead is closed which is known a sensor. when these to meet it tells the machine that indeed the print head is closed. lots of times one of these 'magnets' fall out and which fails to create the signal that the printer is closed
see if you can locate the area and inspect it
