ESA PCD391K - I have had it for several years but never used it. Now when I try to play an audiobook CD in the car, it keeps stopping and skipping back to the beginning. Happens on its own, and annoyingly, when I just touch the volume control. Do I need to get a new CD player? Bob

Does it happen only with that specific CD? Try playing another CD and see if problem persists.
If it does - get a new CD player; If not, your audiobook CD might be damaged/scratched... Try getting another copy of it.
