First thing I would check is it has a attachment hose, take off the bottom of the vacuum. Where the beater bar is and look for where the hose goes through the bottom of the vacuum, it should look like a piece of plastic pipe. Make sure that pipe is clear if it isn't the vacuum won't work. I had that problem before with a different vacuum, clear the clog and should take care of the issue. Also if you take the hose off and put your hand over the hose attachment piece you should feel suction, if you don't good indicator that line plugged up.
You can use your fingers to clear it out, if the hole hose is plugged, if you have a snake a or a cable tie, or some flexible use that to snake out the bottom part of the tube. It might make a mess so I'd do it outside or in the garage.
See if that is part of your problem, otherwise it has a canister to catch the dirt, make sure all the vents and ports are clear going into the canister .

Then the next suspect would be the switch or motor, Alot of motors have a thermal overload protection, usually the overload will open (cut the power at a certain temp.), then close after it has cooled down and allow power back to the motor. Typically the beater bar and motor will use the same power supply, then the switch will send the power where it needs to go. I am not completely familiar with Vacuum myself. Reason I ask if there is a belt that connects to a shaft, try spinning the shaft and see if the shaft will spin, if it won't then more than likely you are looking at a bad motor.
