Even with new batteries, remote does not work
Purchased from CITC in Rarotonga. After 1 month remote did not work - dept. manager said had that problem with others. Gave me another that had been repaired for another customer. it's worked for about 1yr+ but now even when new batteries are put it does not respond to anything. If I can use the remote, how do I get to play features on DVD's? I've been using "next", "previous" on the unit itself but there doesn't seem to be a way to get to features.
I would like to know, how I can get a new remote if this one is not fixable? At what cost from NZ?
If I can access everything on the remote via the actual unit, please tell me how. Many thanks, Regards, sonjar

Store manager suggested purchasing a new remote at $70. I requested asking the manufacturer for repair. Feedback, repair more costly than new remote. I opted for buying a new DVD player, not goodmans, for $100. Thanks.
