Everythimg is slow
My computer is really really slow, it takes sometimes 5 to 10 minutes just for me to be able to get to my home page and then after that another 5 minutes after i sign in and whenever I go to different sights its really slow.
What can I do?? I've built this PC based on the AMD Athlon 64 4000+ processor on an MSI RS480M2-IL mobo. I've got 3GB of RAM and this things runs too slow to do anything. After failing at trying to install a Linux build (my own ineptitude I'm sure) I installed Vista Home Premium SP1. I tried running the MS Rating app, but it times out and doesn't run. I do have an old IDE HDD in it, but I can't believe that's hte issue. The task manager performance chart shows the processor running at 100% all the time, even though memory is only barely being used.
Anyone have any thoughts?

Hello ... log in www.tweakXP.com and follow the left margin to solve your problem ... trying each item one by one ... until ur prob is fixed.
Try running Spybot (http://www.spybot.de) and avg on it. run Spybot several times (rebooting after every attempt) untill it finds nothing. If you built the machine are you sure that the processor heat sink is correctly installed and not over heating? What is the speed of the drive?
Have you loaded the motherboard drivers?
