Hi, The E3 error indicates that a sensor has failed. The part from DeLonghi costs about $200. If the product is under warranty, I would suggest calling the manufacturer for replacement part. Thanks for using Fixya. Good Luck and have a nice day.
Today, January 23, 2012, I spoke to Customer Service at DeLonghi, (800) 322-3848, option 4, who said that the error codes for dehumidifier model DE400P mean as follows:
E1: Temperature Sensor
E2: Humidity Sensor
E3: Evaporator Tube Sensor
Then I bought an evaporator tube sensor athttp://www.partstore.com/ for about $25, which included tax and shipping.Today, January 23, 2012, I spoke to Customer Service at DeLonghi, (800) 322-3848, option 4, who said that the error codes for dehumidifier model DE400P mean as follows: E1: Temperature Sensor E2: Humidity Sensor E3: Evaporator Tube Sensor Then I bought an evaporator tube sensor at http://www.partstore.com/ for about $25, which included tax and shipping.
Well error E3 indicates that a sensor has failed (bad evaporator tube sensor). The part from DeLonghi costs about $200. Not sure if it is worth it to buy the part or buy a new dehumidifier. If the product is under warranty, We would suggest calling the manufacturer for replacement parts. Post comments for further help or information........
