Evesham Quest 610 Plus Cmos reset
I have been trying to install a SoDimm which was supplied by an internet supplier.
The machine will not boot with the 1gb stick in place but works fine with the current 512mb and 256mb sticks.
The supplier has asked me to reset the Cmos which I believe involves shorting out a link on the Motherboard which is a MAM2070 series 5 ?.
The guy who owns the laptop did not get any documentation with it and Evesham went belly up a few days later.

To reset the CMOS you need to locate the small watch battery on the motherboard and remove it for a minute or so then reinstall it. That is the safest and most reliable way to reset your CMOS. I wouldn't try doing it any other way. Especially shorting out any links.
