Explorer crashes when I insert my USB flash drive
Explorer.exe crashes when I insert my USB flash drive. Brand: Dane-Elec 4 GB.
Uninstalling drivers via the device manager and reinstalling did NOT work. I have a lot of data on it that I want to keep! So I do NOT want to format it.
While installing it should say U-disk, but now it says USB memory bar.
When disconnect my USB device, explorer comes out of its crash.
The day before it worked fine on Linux suse, but there, nothing even happend anymore, when inserting my device in the USB port :(

Try holding the left-shift key before you insert it and keep holding it 10 seconds into after you connect it. There may be some autorun functions that need to be bypassed this way. Then open explorer and right click the drive and select explore. Don't Double click it or it may crash again.
