External Hard Drive
I'm thinking of buying a Western Digital 500GB External Hard Drive from BestBuy for my DVDs to be copied on to. Is it possible to copy DVDs to a computer? I know I can copy Music CDs to it and run off Windows Media Player 11, the same way I watch DVDs on Media Player.
Will 500GB be enough, I think I have around 80 DVDs, plus probably will be buying some later. The good thing of getting a External Hard Drive is I can put away my pile of DVDs and have more room, plus I will not have to worry about scratched CDs anymore.
I have a 40" LCD Tv and turned my old IBM NetVista M41 into a Tv computer and so i'll be able to watch movies off there.

If you plan to store movies on the HD, better buying a 1TB hard drive. WD Mybook is one of the best external HD.
To rip and store DVD movies into the hard disk you will need a specific software, like the ones below.
