Ez grabber only records for about 2 to 3 minuits even though there is a 1 hour tape in the Hi8 camcorder but still carries on in the preview window. Sound & vision are ok. I have changed all settings but the problel still remains. I am using a Samsung laytop R520 and win7
Computers & Internet - Ulead - Videostudio 8 for PC
I had the same problem when I upgraded my computer and had Windows 7. I noticed that it was only recording from when I had nudged the mouse, so Iwas losing most of the programme I was trying to record. I solved it by going into the Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options choosing Balanced Plan and selecting Change Plan Settings and changing the Put the computer to sleep time to longer than the recording I wanted to do. So far this seems to have worked.
This solution works. I bought this too and was very frustrated that it kept taping the final minutes. Extending the hibernation and sleep periods plus when the screen saver kicked in solved the problem. The instructions that came with this product were disgraceful as was other online support. Great to find this it really helped.
I had a similar problem, which was solved when I closed down ALL other programmes on my PC (inc the screen saver). It worked after that, so maybe other 'activity' was disrupting the recording process?
