F4 error fisher & paykel nautilus dishwasher sometimes this error comes up and it seems to occur about 10 minutes from the end of the cycle. it doesn't happen all the time. the user guide does not specifically address this error code
F4 is a heating error- dishwasher has not reached temperature in allocated time. If intermittent fault, problem is usually with electronic board, which has temperature sensor attached. Sometimes the wiring to the control board burns out and can give intermittent false readings causing F4 error. Disconnect from power, remove front panel (4 screws down each side). You can now see wiring going to control board- check for burnt wires. Also check temperature sensor (small square with two purple wires) is stuck to inner door panel- if this is not stuck to inner panel, temperature sensor will not work properly. If in any doubt, call in the experts!!
F4 is actually a draining issue. Possibly the sensor inside needs a light scrub. I only know this because I was having the exact same problem with mine and the technician just came around and 'fixed' it. Now I'm $100 poorer, thanks to the manual not covering this basic, preventative maintenance issue. Thanks F&P!
The sensor on my dishwasher is located in the bottom. When I remove the filter for cleaning, I can then see a black circle on the right hand side of the recess. I was told that that was where the sensor is and that you don't want to scrub it too hard. The sensor on my dishwasher is located in the bottom. F4- on this machine is a draining problem, drain hose may be blocked. Spigot going into pea tray could be blocked, drain pump maybe broken, something maybe stuck I the drain pump! Cheers Sam

Do you know which sensor or where it is located so I can try the scrub?
