Fallout new Vegas won't save games to hard drive on xbox360. Worked for awhile, then stopped. Reports "can't read disk" when attempting to save. Second game disk reports same error. Hard drive works fine with all other games. Any ideas?
Video Game Consoles & Games - Bethesda Softworks - Fallout New Vegas for Xbox 360
I have this game myself personally and the program is full of so many bugs its ridiculous but I still love the game overall. Xbox online has had some patches for it and the new dead money game add on as well (that is worth getting by the way). Go online with the game in your disk drive and if new updates are available it will advise you to download them. The majority of the bugs I've encountered later on in the game are with the quest to help Rex at the doctor's in jacobstown and a couple smaller glitches getting stuck in mountains. I had a problem with game not saving and quest progression in dead money I added the patch and started that part of the game over and it worked fine. I'd always advise to keep 2 or 3 save files active for that game for any problems you may have as well as for different story options from gameplay choices you make. Worse comes to worse you may need to download patch and start your game over
I tried installing the game myself to the hard drive and mine keeps stopping at 35% and says to claen disk and try again. My disk is in excellent condition and this is a problem due to the bugs in the programming itself, the only other thing I can suggest is to perhaps use a later/newer released version that may have some of the bugs worked out and to try installing it again to fill the partial gap due to the installation being aborted, otherwise you'ld have to clear the memory cache of new vegas and start your game over. I'm currently at level 33 and 100+ hours so I'll try the first option first personally and hopefully that will solve my problem. There is nothing about this on bethesda's (fallout official site) forums but Im sending a message to tech support team and maybe they can give me another solution to pass alongI tried installing the game myself to the hard drive and mine keeps stopping at 35% and says to claen disk and try again.
