Fan keeps blowing
Hello! This is the first time this has happened -- I turned my car off, and the fan kept going and going. It never shut down. I left, went up to work, came back, and it was still going. Typically, it will shut off. I got in the car, turned it off and on again and the fan kept going (like the car was still running). I then tried to turn the car on again and it did not come back on at all. However, the fan was no longer running.

I'm working on 2002 x-type thermostat housing asm. theres no room to remove because electric fans are in way. This is a very difficult car to work on. any sugestions. I've already removed rock guard panel under radiator, moved battery back to get at upper hose spring clamp affair(I hate these) and spent 2 1/2 hours. Do you have to lift engine up to remove?
There is a tempurature sensor that the fan gets a signal from so it knows when to turn the fan on or off. Sounds to me like this sensor went bad is sending false signals to the fan.
Hope this helps
If its a hose it's a cheap quick fix.
No problem at all, please remeber to rate this solution.
Thanks
