Have had similar problem for years when main power supply is interrupted for even a few minutes (lightening storm, brief outage of some sort). When the power supply returns, the fan starts up at the highest speed - not great when you aren't at home. (Mine is in an older kitchen with old time gas pilot lights in the range.) I replaced the wallswitch control - but I still turn off the main power switch when I know I won't be at home
If you have more than one fan and they have remote controls they may be set to the same frequency. You can re set one fan to operate at a different frequency. The instructions ar in the manual or online.
One other possibility is that Casablanca fans have a security setting which is designed to do exactly that - turn the fan on and off randomly so it looks like someone is home to a potential burglar. You may have switched that on by accident. Its on the remote or control panel. One other possibility is that Casablanca fans have a security setting which is designed to do exactly that - turn the fan on and off randomly so it looks like someone is home to a potential burglar.
