fan
Have separate wall switch for fan & light with remote also, sometimes switches don't work -- remote doesn't work at all now. Need detail wiring diagram to double check installation - if it worked after installation, what would cause it to malfunction now? Thanks for any help, Norm

The wall switch has to be on for the remote to work. You should only be using the remote.
Rechecked wiring, but blue with blue, white with white, etc., now lights work with remote, but fan only works with wall switch - so why doesn't fan work with remote,if lights work the remote & receiver must be ok?
Lights are a simple on off and sometimes coupled with a dimming capability. Fan is either selecting different pin out on motor or with the use of Capicators in series with the power. Smaller the capictor the slower the fan/larger the faster. Mostly between 3 and 8 mfd.
