Faucet is leaking up from the sleeve. I remove the screw under the cap, but the handle mechanism does not come off. Do I force it? Pry it? Probably held by hard water sediment

If it's the handle and u can't get it off b/c of sediment then pour hot water on the handle and gently pry off. If that doesn't work then get a handle puller from a plumbing supply store
