Faucet leaks kohler faucet leaks even though I put in a new cartridge. It is a single lever kitchen faucet and leaks out the to top around the lever. I carefully cleaned the cartridge base and applied special gasket grease the plumbing supply store gave me. I flushed the water lines and made sure everything was clean. But it still drips slowly up around the base of the handle. Should I just try another new cartridge?
I like that Steve Archer had mentioned the importance of turning the water off before you do anything else. The sink in my basement is leaking currently and I can't figure out how to fix it and I'm afraid that if I do anything I'll break the sink. I think I might have to look into hiring a plumber for this fix. http://www.allaboutplumbinganddrains.com/

Not much can be done to repair it
you can try a new unit and ask for a warranty refund on the one you have
