FAULTY Slim Line dishwasher
I have a DE231FS dishwasher, it has a fault that trips out the 30ma RCCB. I have recently been rewired and it is possible that the fault was existing. I have not been able to use the dishwasher since, I suspect that it may be a pump motor but cannot see how to remove it to double check, there are no screws securing it to the sump. Have you any ideas?

An RCD fault. means that current is "Leaking" from the Phase to Earth. This is a very serious fault. It is doubtful, that it would be a motor. You need to check, the Wiring, without the unit connected. There should be a complete "Open" circuit, between Phase & Neutral/Earth. Also you need to meter into the unit, checking, between Phase, and Neutral & Earth, at the plug, and "Looking In" Again, there should be NO Connection, fro, Phase to earth, if there is, then the "Fault" is indeed within the unit. Otherwise your fault, is in the wiring. To assist in troubleshooting. you should see if the unit, works on another known good, power point.
