My backup removable hard drive now codes all files and folders as ''read only'' and I can not edit, rename, or delete. I can only overwrite. This inhibits what I bought it for. SimpleTech portable hard drive with BOM No. 96200-41001-056 with 250 GB I have this device running on linux, and sometimes it allows me to put new music and videos, etc on here but occaisionally it automatically changes the permissions to "read only", which drives me insane cause i cant put my music on ther now. Ive tried to manually override the permissions but i failed for the fourth time... I mean, just three days ago i could wirte to it, and now i cant. what is it im doing thats making it change permissions?? HELP!!
