Film on dishes
My dishes are coming out with a cloudy film on them. i used dishwasher magic which really seemed to clean the inside well but i noticed that the heating element has a hardened coating of white on it. i cleaned a small spot and figure that this should be smooth. how do i remove this residue? i really feel this is the source of the problem. thanks

The film on your elemend and dishes is more then likely soap residue.try useing less soap. if this is a new dishwasher it probably uses less water then your older one did so you will need to modify your soap usage. if you have had the dishwasher for a while then your valve is clogged or not opening all the way. check the brass elbow for mineral deposits and replace it and valve if buildup is seen
