FinePix A405 This is a good little camera and I'm so dissappointed that this has happened. I have recently returned from a family holiday in France where I last used my camera. On inspecting the camera and even before turning it on I could see that the 'little window' (sorry don't know the technical name for it) has cracked. Because of this I'm unable to transfer pictures from the camera to my PC. Is it viable to repair. CT

Very simple. you need to get an xD card reader from your local electronics store ( CC or Best buy). it's very simple. the memory card goes into the card reader that ensemble plugs into any of the usb ports in your computer. once plugged in, the computer will recognize it as external memory, just like a flash/thumb drive and your comptuer can read the pictures off of the card without any interaction with the camera itself.
