First time i pluged my Verbatim Desktop Hard drive 2TB in my computer had no problem finding it, but the I wanted to plug it in to my laptop, but it could not find it, and when I wanted to plug it back in to my computer, my computer could not find it either Why can neither of my computers find it now?

When you connect external devices, then you have to go through a process of disconnecting them. Otherwise, the device can get damaged.
1. Click on the 'Up Arrow' icon in your Windows System Tray.
2. Click on the Safely Remove icon.
3. The Safely Remove window will display any/all detected USB/FireWire devices connected to your Windows computer.
4. Click on the device (e.g., external drive) you wish to remove.
5. A confirmation window will appear.
6. It is now safe to disconnect your device.
The above instructions work for Windows 8 and Windows. However, the procedure is reasonably similar for other windows versions.
