When a new control board is fitted, it needs to be programmed to tell it what size the machine is. If it hasn't been programmed it will come up with error code 9. If it is a board that has been in for some time and has been ok, try setting the size again. I have seen several times, machines loose the setting for some unknown reason. Once reset then it worked ok again. If it won't accept a size setting, then you have to replace the main board.
