Fitted replacment engine forgot to remove rag blokking oil filter housing holebeforefitting filter and starting engene where is it likly to travel to next?
Pull the filter and check to see if the rag is in the filter, if not, see if you can fish it our of the hole with a small wire hook, if not .... oh oh :)
you didn't say how big a rag you used, but it would not go very far, oil passsages are quite small and the rag would not go through them. Did you follow the first steps recommended? If so you next step might be to pull the pan and see if it in there, or stuck in the pump itself. You could pull the cooer off and check it bit I doubt if it got that far.you didn't say how big a rag you used, but it would not go very far, oil passsages are quite small and the rag would not go through them.
