Hi. Go to turn on the NF-M2S v1 motherboard, get 5 short beeps, then a pause, then beeps continually. Using PNY ddr2 memory. Worked for about a year, now no gots.
The beeps indicate that error is usually caused by hardware incompatibility or failure. More specifically check the following list: You installed new hardware that is conflicting with old hardware. There was a reecent electrical storm that caused a surge that damaged parts of the computer.
Try the following: Remove new hardware. Remove any disks or USB devices. Remove any disks, CD's, DVD's that are in the computer and if any USB devices (ipods, drives, phones, etc) are connected disconnect all of them as well. Reboot the computer and see if anything changes. Disconnect external devices. If nothing appears to work then try removing the ram and installing a new module.
