Basically, on the bottom of the fireplace, there are 2 screws on the sides, 3 on the back, take them off, lift bottom (it wont come off, so be careful not to bend it) there are 3 christmas light type bulbs, you can find them at any hardware store. Just replace them. Problem solved.
If the flame is standing still, i assume the motor is burnt out. or the belt is off.
Please explain how to open this unit. Do I need to open the front louvres so I can work on the motor? Please explain about the screws exactly again. Thanks very much. Please explain how to open this unit. Do I need to open the front louvres so I can work on the motor? Please explain about the screws exactly again. Thanks very much.
There is NO belt on the flame motor assy. It's direct drive to the motor. Either the motor is bad or the Flame Speed Control circuit board is bad. Test the motor with a 9V. battery. If the motor spins, replace the Flame Speed Control PN 10001589.
