Flip Ultra - freezes at initial Flip screen - will not shut off
Camera worked great until the batteries were removed for several months. New batteries installed- would not reboot beyond intial Flip screen. Customer Service advised - remove battieries, wait 72 hrs try again. Worked until it was turned off - then froze at same spot when reactivated. Everything works well when plugged into USB post. Customer Service response - no longer under warranty!

I found a fix that worked for mine.
It was doing the same thing, freezing at the "Flip" screen and would not turn off. I did the remove the batteries deal. It worked once but issue reoccured 2 months later and the battery fix didn't fix it.
What did fix it was...
With the camera off, hold down the Right Arrow button and the trash can button at the same time and turn the camera on.
A few seconds later, I was at the start recording screen!!

Didn't have it more than a week before it shot. (And yeah, it's been a few years since I've had it, but ********* I want it to be fixed...!)
That fix doesn't work for my non-HD Mino. Also tried the "reset" button that is supposedly inside the tripod jack??? Can't find any solutions.
Cannot believe I ever wasted time or money on this POS.
Thanks so much...my Flip is back. But still have a color shadow on screen making a weird sound noise. Help.
